Lyvonnica McMillian Green Scholarship

Lyvonnica McMillian Green, age 44, of Freeport, Florida, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was born April 3, 1978, to Lyvonne and Judy McMillian in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Lyvonnica was the epitome of “live your life how you want to be remembered!” She loved others no matter who they were. She would take in a homeless family, fight for those who were unable to fight for themselves, and love….she loved hard. To know her was to love her and to be loved by her. She was not naïve by any means but sought to find and bring out the good in every person…most of the time succeeding. A faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Lyvonnica was a leader for advocacy in her community and always looking for ways to serve God through serving others. The heart of Lyvonnica was everywhere, but at the center of her heart was God, her daughter, Lynee, and husband, John. She worked for CHELCO for fifteen years. In her time at CHELCO, she was known as a person who served members, employees, and the community with a big heart. She was also known as a wonderful friend to many. Her caring nature and selfless heart made her easy to talk to about anything. This world is a better place because she was in it. An angel on earth, she has now spread her wings.
