PHILOSOPHY

Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy will assist parents in their God given mandate:

"Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

Ephesians 6:4

Likewise, we will assist students in their God given mandate:

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."

Ephesians 6:1-3

The mission of PRCA is to partner with families who value and understand the responsibility that God has commanded of them for the training and instruction provided to their children. PRCA firmly believes that students will benefit from a strong relationship with the parents and the consistent message of God's sovereignty across home, church, and school.

EXPECTATIONS

A partnership with families through Christian education, the Christian church, and your Christian home.

A personalized academic experience based on the students unique God given talents and abilities.

An inviting and personal Christian environment with all students, faculty, and staff.

A personalized experience where families are heard and students needs are prioritized to be met, if possible

Families are expected to uphold our Mission, Vision, Purpose, and our Statement of Faith

Students are expected to work hard, each at their own level of aptitude. Students are encouraged to develop relationships with adults and peers on campus that will nurture and grow their spiritual walks.

Biblical principles will be the foundation of everything that is taught at PRCA.

Families, students, faculty, and staff will uphold the standards of the school, respect others, behave admirably, and exhibit Christian character in all aspects of their lives.

Above all, families can expect an atmosphere of mutual respect and service as we work together to give your student the best spiritual and academic foundation for life.

WHY CHOOSE PRCA?

A biblical worldview is taught in every class, every day. This means a focus on who God is, who your student is according to God’s Word, and how your student fits into God’s plan for their life.

All our employees are professing Christians who faithfully attend the Trinitarian church of their choice.

We offer personal attention with nurturing teachers, small student/teacher ratios, and a family friendly atmosphere.

We believe that physical activity is important, our students will receive an average of 2 unstructured outside play times per day.

Music, Art, and Computer Skills will be offered each school week, so students can creatively use the gifts God has given them.

We use an online database management system that gives parents 24/7 access to homework, grades, announcements, and communication options so you have the information you need when you need it.

We currently offer different Tuition Assistance opportunities to help offset costs, including an in-house scholarship.

PRCA is non-denominational, but answers to the Board of Directors who all are active members of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. We encourage everyone from any Trinitarian denomination to come explore the like-minded community of believers we are pleased to serve.
