A Little About Me
With over 30 years of experience in education, Mrs. Ates brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a heart for students and teachers alike.
​
A graduate of Auburn University, Mrs. Ates holds both a Specialist and Master’s Degree in Administration of Elementary and Secondary Education. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Print Journalism and Public Relations from Troy University and holds teaching certifications in English and Journalism from the University of West Florida as well as certification in K-12 Educational Administration.

Throughout her distinguished career, Mrs. Ates has served as Headmaster at Abbeville Christian Academy, Assistant Principal and Career Tech Director at Eufaula High School, and a dedicated English teacher and department chair for nearly two decades. Her leadership has been marked by academic growth, school improvement initiatives, and a steadfast commitment to student success.
Among her many accomplishments, Amanda Ates led mid-cycle Cognia accreditation efforts, implemented Response to Intervention programs, and guided faculty development through peer walkthroughs and data-driven instruction. She is passionate about supporting teachers, fostering excellence, and promoting Christ-centered education.
