Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy
Homeschool Umbrella Program
Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy (P.R.C.A.) offers a comprehensive Homeschool Umbrella Program designed to support families educating their children at home, specifically for students in grades 6 through 8. Through this program, participating families gain access to academic and extracurricular benefits while also meeting important documentation and compliance requirements.
Students enrolled in P.R.C.A.’s Homeschool Umbrella Program receive several key benefits, including official transcript hosting, annual standardized testing, and opportunities to participate in the school’s extracurricular activities. Enrolled students also have the option to take individual courses (a la carte) alongside P.R.C.A. students and gain access to P.R.C.A.’s qualified teaching staff.
In addition, families participating in the program are eligible for PEP Scholarship reimbursement, helping to offset educational costs.
The program offers two tiers of participation to accommodate varying needs. Families choosing full academic participation pay a $375 umbrella fee and $1,200 per course, with the total cost depending on the number of courses selected. This option provides access to the complete range of program benefits, including academic instruction and teacher support.
For families who prefer to use P.R.C.A. primarily for administrative and support services, the participation-only option is available. This plan includes a $375 umbrella fee and a $225 participation fee, for a total of $600 annually. It provides access to transcript hosting, standardized testing, extracurricular activities, and PEP Scholarship reimbursement, but does not include course enrollment or direct access to teachers.
P.R.C.A.’s Homeschool Umbrella Program is a flexible, supportive option for homeschool families seeking both structure and community as they guide their children’s education.
