Dear P.R.C.A. Families,
I am writing to share an important update regarding the future of Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy and the next step in my family’s ministry journey.
After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s direction, I have accepted the call to serve as Head of School at
Mountainview Christian School in Salatiga, Indonesia, beginning in July 2027. As many of you know, the Lord has been stirring my family’s heart toward international Christian education for some time. This calling is not sudden, but the continuation of a direction God began placing on my heart even before my time at Pleasant Ridge. Throughout this process, I have been deeply grateful for the prayerful encouragement and support of our Board and staff as we have sought the Lord’s will.
I want to be clear about our timeline: I will continue serving as Head of School at Pleasant Ridge Christian
Academy for the entirety of the 2026–2027 school year. My focus remains fully on leading our school with
excellence, serving our students and families well, and helping ensure that P.R.C.A. is positioned for continued strength and success in the years ahead.
I also want to assure you that our Board has already begun prayerfully and strategically preparing for this
transition. They are actively developing a plan to identify and prepare the next Head of School, and I will work closely alongside them throughout the coming year to help ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition.
At the same time, we are excited to share that God continues to bless this ministry in extraordinary ways. Based on current projections, P.R.C.A. is expected to experience approximately 180% enrollment growth by next school year. This remarkable growth reflects both the Lord’s faithfulness and the growing demand for Christ-centered, academically excellent education in our community.
To prepare for this exciting season of expansion, we are strengthening our leadership team through two
important administrative appointments.
Mrs. Nikki Edison has been promoted to Director of Curriculum and Instruction. In this role, she will oversee all instructional operations of the school, ensuring excellence in academic programming, classroom instruction, and biblical integration across every grade level. Mrs. Edison will continue serving in the classroom while taking on these expanded leadership responsibilities. Her commitment to academic excellence, creativity in instruction, and deep love for our students make her exceptionally qualified for this position.
Additionally, Mrs. Allie Spiva will join our administrative team as Director of Administration. She will oversee the business and operational functions of the school, helping steward the organizational systems necessary to support our continued growth with wisdom and excellence.
These leadership additions represent an important investment in the future of P.R.C.A. Together, they provide increased capacity, stability, and expertise as our school enters this next season of growth.
While my family and I are preparing for what God has ahead in Indonesia, our hearts remain fully committed to Pleasant Ridge for the next school year. It is my desire to finish this season of service strong and to help position this ministry for even greater impact in the years to come.
Thank you for your trust, your prayers, and your partnership in the mission of Christian education. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve this school community, and I remain confident that the Lord has wonderful things ahead for Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy.
“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6
Blessings,
Dr. Tyler Hildebran, Ed.D.
